These beautiful notecards are offerred by the Friends and feature scenes from the early days of copper mining in the Keweenaw. These images, shown above, are part of the Van Pelt and Opie Library’s extensive collection of photos, records, and other materials that tell the story of the first mining rush in the United States, copper mining in Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula.
